An A1 English course is designed for absolute beginners (CEFR level A1), focusing on building fundamental communication skills. It enables learners to understand familiar everyday expressions, introduce themselves, ask simple questions, and interact in a slow, clear manner about basic needs, family, and surroundings.

What will I learn?

  • Listening: Understand very basic phrases and vocabulary relating to immediate personal relevance (e.g., family, shopping, local geography) when spoken clearly.
  • Reading: Recognize familiar names, words, and simple sentences on notices, posters, or in catalogues.
  • Speaking: Initiate and respond to simple, everyday statements. Introduce oneself and others, and ask/answer questions about personal details (e.g., location, people known, items owned). Interact in a simple way, provided the other person talks slowly.
  • Writing: Fill in forms with personal details (e.g., name, nationality, address). Write short, simple postcards or messages.
  • Vocabulary & Grammar: Use foundational phrases and words to describe background, surroundings, and matters of immediate need
